Air India News: An Air India passenger who lost his pet cat at the Delhi airport has accused the airline staff of negligence. The incident is on April 24 when a woman was going to board to travel with 2 pet cats but she was stopped and given the option of carrying the cats through cargo.

A friend of this woman named Jangneichong Karong tweeted and said, “Due to the negligence of the Air India employee, my friend’s pet cat has gone missing.” This is a sad incident. Somar tagged Ratan Tata in his tweet and shared a screenshot. According to media reports, Karong was traveling from Delhi to Imphal with two pet cats on 24 April. Karong reached the airport at 6.30 am for the 9.55 flight. However, at the check-in counter, she was told that she would have to reschedule the flight or travel in business class if she wanted to take the cat into the cabin.

Karong said, unfortunately there was no flight reschedule option and I could not get business class as well. Due to which I had to choose the only option Cargo. He told that in the presence of airline personnel, he had handed over the cats in a cage but it is very surprising that one of the cats came out and disappeared. Karong told that there were only 7 minutes left for boarding, due to which he had to take off with only one cat.

Air India replied on the matter

Writing an email to the airline about the incident, Karong said, “It was a heart-wrenching affair and I am still unable to get over it.” One of my cats has gone missing. I am facing physical and mental problems due to the incompetencies of the staff personnel. At the same time, Air India replied on this whole matter and said, we sympathize with you on this incident. Our team will be in touch with your friend regarding this matter. Air India asked Karong to share ticket details.
